Is Brazil a nice country to live in?

I heard its nicest out of the BRIC nations because Brazil is the most free out of those nations. China is communist and eugenics state. Russia is overrun by thugs, India is ok but I think I would like Brazil better. Is Brazil a nice country to live in for a Non-Brazilian person? Also Im American but im a mixed race Asian would i receive problems?
