Is he hinting that he likes me? please help?

there's this guy I've been friends with for ages, but recently we've been talking a lot more than we used to. he compliments me and he flirts with me, and he said I should be a model and winked at me! my friend said he was calling me attractive but being subtle about it because he didn't want to make me feel awkward. then I updated my facebook status saying that I want to move to California (his state) because the weather is nicer there, and he commented on it saying that maybe I should! what does this mean, is he trying to hint something to me? I can't get him off my mind :/ what do you think I should do if he continues to flirt?
