What is the best way to set up car system?

I want 2 12" subs run by ` amplifier and 4 door speakers powered by another 4 channel amplifier. I want the sound to be clear and crisp, not overrun by the amount of bass. Someone knowing car audio out there let me know what you think is the best set up and best products for this car system.
